PAEEK & APEA Akrotiri FC are pleased to announce an official partnership between the two clubs. The purpose of this venture is to provide opportunity to benefit players by allowing them to temporarily play with APEA Akrotiri FC in a lower division, and then returned more experienced to their parent club PAEEK. Creating this pathway for youth players is critical to their development, as it allows them to obtain playing experience at a competitive level, but also the commercial benefits allows the club to maintain a full roster with extra players.
In the world of football not all players are able to reach the highest levels or to break into the clubs first team, as you must be developed to a sufficient level, this opportunity allows all players the chance to develop as best possible. Allowing PAEEK to be able to allocate their available budget carefully, on building the strongest first team they believe will help them succeed.
With professional environment currently being built under the new management at APEA Akrotiri FC, and now becoming a partner club of PAEEK, they will be able to offer a developmental pathway to local and international players the next step in their career. Further benefits to both clubs and players mean PAEEK will be able to attain the privilege of being able to sign APEA Akrotiri FC players.
This is all made possible as Jamory Leyner (APEA President) and Cleanthis Georgiades (PAEEK Senior Board member) both share the same vision of building a sustainable and healthy operational model for a football club. Furthermore, both clubs will continue to work closely together in helping each other grow and develop football in Cyprus, and look forward to a successful long lasting partnership.
